What we stand to lose . . .

Mima Mounds

The Mima Mounds are dome-shaped mounds of earth found in grassy areas in the Pacific Northwest, including and the land threatened by the Valley's Edge expansion. Speculation about their origins vary: pocket gophers, seismic activity, glacial processes, hydrological processes.... Whatever their origin, they deserve to be preserved and not destroyed by trophy homes and ersatz landscaping. View the Valley's Edge Mima Mounds in the slide show below.
